2 BHK interior quotation: a room-wise format

A 2 BHK interior quotation should be based on the actual home and agreed scope. Organise the estimate by kitchen, bedrooms, living room and other spaces instead of assuming one price fits every two-bedroom home.

Start with a room and scope checklist

Example scope categories; include only the work you agree to deliver
AreaItems to confirm
Kitchen / utilityBase and wall cabinets, tall units, countertop, accessories and installation.
Master bedroomWardrobe, loft, bed storage or other agreed furniture.
Second bedroomWardrobe, study unit, storage and any optional work.
Living / diningTV unit, crockery storage, partitions or other defined items.
Other work packagesPainting, ceiling, electrical, civil work and furnishings, when included.

Some projects cover joinery only; others include a wider fit-out. Make that distinction visible at the top of the quotation. Check the client's layout, site measurements and chosen finishes before fixing quantities.

Sample room-wise interior estimate

These are illustrative selected joinery amounts, not current market prices and not the cost of a complete 2 BHK interior project.

Worked subtotal for a defined sample scope, before discounts and taxes
Room / scopeIllustrative subtotal
Kitchen: selected cabinets₹72,500
Master bedroom: wardrobe and loft₹79,200
Second bedroom: selected wardrobe₹67,200
Living room: selected TV unit₹25,000
Project subtotal₹2,43,900

Attach the item breakdown for every room so the client can see quantities, rates and specifications. Show agreed discounts, applicable taxes and extra charges separately after the subtotal. Optional work should have its own subtotal.

Why two 2 BHK quotations can differ

The number of bedrooms does not determine the cabinet sizes, storage layout or material requirements. Two apartments can have different kitchen lengths, wardrobe areas and site constraints. Board specifications, shutter finishes, hardware, installation and the included work packages also change the price.

When comparing quotations, compare scope first and totals second. Ask whether transport, installation, countertops, appliances, electrical work and other relevant items are included. A missing package can change the final project spend even if the starting quotation looks lower.

Offer budget choices without obscuring the base scope

Keep one defined base specification and show optional upgrades separately. If the client wants a lower total, record the actual scope or specification change: removing a unit, changing a finish or choosing a different approved hardware package. Recalculate the affected items rather than subtracting an unexplained lump sum.

State the quotation's validity and any provisional quantities. Include payment milestones and a process for approving changes. Share one clearly dated revision so the client knows which document is current.

Build the room-wise quotation in the app

Create each room in DesignQuote.in, add its work items and use your checked quantities and rates. Review item totals, then room totals, then the project total. Add your company details and logo before exporting the quotation PDF.

Use the kitchen guide and wardrobe guide to check measurement descriptions. The same room-wise approach can be used for a 3 BHK or a different home layout, with the actual rooms and scope entered for that project.

Create your next client quotation

Use your own item rates, organise work by room, and export a branded PDF from your phone or laptop. Eligible new users can try DesignQuote.in for 30 days.
